During the next months until the summer holidays I’ll be churning out lines of (mainly C) code.
Today I’ve started working on a project that should make VLC cluster aware. I’ll be working with one of the developers, so I’m sure some of my code will end up back into the videolan source tree some day. I’ve got 100, err, 99 days to get the job done. It’s like a Google summer of code thing, but my university will pay me in credits instead of hard cash. This will be my final project for my Bachelor’s degree, so I’ve got to make sure I don’t fuck this up. I’ll update this blog more frequently now in order to keep friends updated, who are all scattered across the globe in the same 100 days deal.
Also, JBISC is going strong. I don’t have that much time to invest in it, but it isn’t dead yet!
Finally I’ve started working on a signal processing framework. This thing will be able to do all sorts of cool stuff. I’m currently aiming for using signal analysis/syntheses techniques to create audio art. The preliminary results are quite impressive. I can’t wait to work this out and rip some more speakers using ultra low frequencies, or getting that “instant headache and nausea” thing back again.
Oh, I’ll be visiting FOSDEM this year, too.
